What are the advantages of owning a Manufactured Home as opposed to renting an apartment or home? Show

When buying a Manufactured Home you own an asset that you can sell at anytime. With each monthly mortgage payment (which is often less than or equal to your current monthly rent) you are building equity in a valuable asset; Your Home! But when you rent an apartment or home you spend anywhere from $1000 – $3000 monthly. This is money you are essentially giving someone for the use of their home. Are there tax advantages to owning a Manufactured Home? Show

When you purchase a manufactured home, the mortgage interest is deductible. For example, if your gross income(before taxes taken out) is $35,000 and your new home allows you to write off $5,000 in interest expenses, your taxable income is now $30,000 lowering your tax liability while building equity in an asset. Every New manufactured home sold in a CCM Community is built to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Code. Every home endures a rigorous inspection process before being certified and sold. 2006 marks the 30th anniversary of the HUD Code. This Code regulates home design, construction, strength, durability, fire resistance, and energy efficiency. It also sets standards for heating, plumbing, air-conditioning, and electrical systems. There are many Primary Inspection Agencies that actually monitor construction of the homes as they are built in the factories. Hide
